Job summary

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join a growing company based in Elland in the Halifax area. The role involves building industrial control panels, mounting and commissioning them on customer sites across the UK, and occasional site work as the sole installer.

You'll need formal panel-building qualifications (NVQ 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC) and a valid UK driving licence, with CSCS or ECS cards desirable. The role is permanent and full-time.

Qualifications

• Clear ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings for machine control panels.
• Build control panels to specification and standards.
• Test and consult with stakeholders where required.
• Install other technical products onsite; training provided.
• Assist with wiring onsite subject to qualifications.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear stakeholder communication.
• Follow Health and Safety in all areas.
• Drive to sites using a company van.
• Complete relevant paperwork and compliance documentation.

Job description

Electro-Mechanical Technician required for a permanent role in the Elland, Halifax area. Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a successful company that is going through a period of growth. They need an experienced and qualified Electro-Mechanical Technician who can build industrial control panels and then mount and commission them on customers sites throughout the UK. NVQ Level 3/ City and Guilds or BTEC will be required, as you will have site jobs working as the sole installer at times. CSCS or ECS card is required.

This is a full-time role of 7-3pm or 8-4pm Monday to Thursday and an earlier finish on Fridays, when based in the factory for two days a week. The other three days will be out onsite mounting and assisting with installing of the control panels on customer sites.

This is a permanent position, employed by the company directly.

Duties include:

• Reading of technical drawings for machine control panels
• Building of control panels to specification and standards
• Testing and consultation with stakeholders where required
• Installing other technical products onsite of which training will be given
• Assisting the team in wiring onsite subject to qualifications
• Always offering great customer service and communication with stakeholders
• Health and Safety in all areas
• Driving to sites using a company vehicle (standard licence van)
• Completing relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
