Job summary

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Control Panel Assembler/Installer for a temporary ongoing contract in Elland, Halifax area. You will build control panels in the factory and mount them on customer sites across the UK, with a mix of in-factory and field work.

The role is full-time with hours 7-3 or 8-4 Mon-Thu and earlier finish on Fridays when based in the factory for two days; three days are onsite. Potential for permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Panel building qualifications or apprenticeship completed.
• City and Guilds Electrical qualifications held.
• Experience building control panels for machines.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• UK Driving licence held.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings and build control panels to specification.
• Test panels and consult with stakeholders as required.
• Install other technical products onsite; training provided.
• Assist with wiring onsite subject to qualifications.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication with stakeholders.
• Adhere to Health and Safety in all areas.
• Drive to sites using company vehicle (van license).
• Complete relevant paperwork and compliance documentation.

Job description

Control Panel Assembler / Installer required for a temporary ongoing contract in the Elland, Halifax area. They need an experienced panel builder who build control panels and then mount them on customers sites throughout the UK.

This is a full-time role of 7-3pm or 8-4pm Monday to Thursday and an earlier finish on Fridays, when based in the factory for two days a week. The other three days will be out onsite mounting and assisting with installing of the control panels on customer sites. Our client has a busy order book till Christmas and is bringing on new customers each week, so it is likely to lead to a permanent contract.

Duties include:

• Reading of technical drawings for machine control panels
• Building of control panels to specification and standards
• Testing and consultation with stakeholders where required
• Installing other technical products onsite of which training will be given
• Assisting the team in wiring onsite subject to qualifications
• Always offering great customer service and communication with stakeholders
• Health and Safety in all areas
• Driving to sites using a company vehicle (standard licence van)
• Completing relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
