Location: Cambridge
Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (3 Months)
Rate: up to 60k full time equivalent per annum

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our client on a short-term basis, supporting the development and testing of cutting-edge technologies. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role based in Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is looking to make a meaningful impact on a short-term project.


Key Responsibilities
Design and develop test tools for a microfluidic cartridge in a manufacturing environment
Rapidly understand challenges and requirements, proposing and delivering effective solutions with speed and precision
Development of automated systems, incorporating mechanical, fluidic and electrical components
Script and control test gear including pumps, actuators and sensors
Design and implement test systems and protocols including FMEA, data acquisition and data analysis


Required Skills & Experience
Strong Mechanical Engineering background; Electronics knowledge a plus
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in product testing for manufacture
Proficient in developing and troubleshooting automated test systems
Comfortable working across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, fluidic) and rapidly iterating designs
