Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Draughtsperson in Leicester. The role involves designing and developing electro‑mechanical equipment for a range of industrial applications, working to industry standards and best practices.

Based in Enderby, you will join a professional design team reporting to the Senior Design Engineer. The successful candidate will handle design reviews, produce drawings and BOMs, support R&D activities, and assist Production to resolve manufacturing issues

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least HNC level in engineering or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in engineering discipline preferred.
• Experience in drafting for electro‑mechanical equipment and electrical applications.

Responsibilities

• Review design requirements and assist with materials specification.
• Produce drawings, BOMs and manufacture information.
• Support R&D activities and test equipment setups.
• Provide production support to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Adhere to design, regulatory and safety standards.
