Overall Purpose of Job:

The main purpose of the job is to conduct mechanical and/or electrical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products to required internal and external specifications and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical and/or Electrical assembly of products for the Educational Engineering and Food Technology sectors
2. Reporting feedback to Team Leader on job status
3. Working with team members to improve working methods
4. Supporting in raising CR-E (Engineering Change Requests) and providing feedback to engineering issues
5. Supporting the creation of standardized working practices
6. Ensuring products are assembled correctly and on time, supporting production demand as required
7. Maintaining safety standards to ensure colleagues' safety
8. Assisting in booking units passed to test/stores and completing necessary documentation
9. Communicating effectively with Team Leaders regarding issues and progress
10. Assisting with fault finding, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of electrical production/manufacturing wiring experience
• IPC620 Specialist or similar qualification (preferred)
• Experience with 5S methodology (preferred)
