Job summary

SWARCO UK & Ireland in Melsonby, England, is looking for a practical and technically minded engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role covers electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, testing and preparation of SWARCO products, with work from technical drawings, BOMs and kits.

You will assemble controller cabinets, prepare wiring looms, carry out testing and ensure quality meets SWARCO standards. A proactive learner with good teamwork will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical or manufacturing environments.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings, BOMs or similar documentation.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience working within a 5S or continuous improvement environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire traffic controller cabinets and roadside units.
• Prepare cables, connectors and wiring looms.
• Carry out cabinet wiring and fit electrical components such as transformers.
• Perform basic functional testing of completed products.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with 5S principles.
