Job summary

SWARCO UK & Ireland is seeking a Production Assembler (Controller) in Melsonby to assemble, wire and test a range of traffic control products. You will follow technical drawings and BOMs to turn components into finished SWARCO products, ensuring quality and safety in a busy manufacturing environment.

You’ll work across assembly cells, using hand and power tools, and participate in continuous improvement activities while maintaining a clean, safe workspace in line with 5S principles.

Qualifications

Practical, reliable, technically minded with ability to follow detailed instructions.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOMs or similar documentation.
Commitment to quality and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

Assemble and wire traffic signal controllers and cabinet systems.
Prepare cables, connectors and wiring looms; cabinet wiring and assemble components.
Read technical drawings and BOMs; perform basic functional tests on products.
Operate hand and power tools safely; assist with PCB and mechanical assembly.
