Overview

Electro-Mechanical Assembler — Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey — Job Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a skilled assembler to build, test, and repair electro-mechanical assemblies to the highest quality standards. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electro-mechanical components, including fan/motors and heaters, following technical drawings and specifications.
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as torque drivers, micrometers, and verniers.
  • Conduct drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, buffing, lubrication, and other assembly tasks.
  • Connect cables and wires according to specifications.
  • Inspect and test finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain assembly equipment and follow all manufacturing procedures.
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, including the use of PPE.
  • Provide support to colleagues and, when required, train others in line with the local skills matrix.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
  • Experience with small component assembly and soldering.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated, with good time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic IT skills to manage documentation and records.
