Job summary

Recruit 12 represents a global leader in advanced automotive technologies and is seeking a Software & Control Engineer to develop embedded software for electrified powertrains. You will join a cross‑functional engineering team delivering software and control solutions for automotive controllers.

You’ll work through the full V‑cycle, implement model‑based controls using MATLAB/Simulink and ASCET‑SD, collaborate with global teams, and support calibration and system optimisation for next‑generation

Qualifications

Degree or MSc in Automotive Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience in automotive software development or controls.
Strong in model-based design using MATLAB/Simulink and/or ASCET-SD.
Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD/XCP networks.
Familiarity with Functional Safety and cybersecurity standards.
Experience with calibration tools and vehicle control systems.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Develop software and control solutions for automotive embedded controllers.
Support electrified powertrain and transmission control development from requirements to production.
Develop algorithms for powertrain control.
Work through the full V-cycle process, including requirements, design, implementation and validation testing.
Own assigned software modules and ensure delivery.
Develop model-based control solutions using MATLAB/Simulink and ASCET-SD.
Work with embedded controllers and vehicle communication networks (CAN, CAN-FD, XCP).
Apply Functional Safety principles and ensure safety of designs.
Support calibration activities and system optimisation.
Collaborate with global engineering teams and stakeholders.
