Job summary

Randstad CPE invites applications from engineers who enjoy hands-on design work and rapid development cycles. You will lead concept-to-prototype activities for electrified machines, integrating mechanical and electrical aspects while working close to hardware.

The role focuses on Creo-based modeling, dense design documentation, and close collaboration with build and validation teams. On-site work in Peterborough with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical design experience within a product development environment.
• Electrical design and integration experience, preferably with vehicle or electrified systems.
• Experience with Creo for managing complex models and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept and detailed design activities for electrified machine systems.
• Create and maintain engineering models, drawings and design documentation.
• Oversee mechanical packaging and electrical integration.
• Collaborate across build, validation and project teams.
• Investigate issues and implement practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype builds and ECN activities.
• Support commissioning and validation programs with travel to sites.
