£35.04 - £37.04/hr Umbrella (Inside IR35) + 12 Month Contract + Global Business + Extension Potential

Peterborough, commutable from Huntingdon, Stamford, Corby, Kettering, Cambridge, Wisbech, Spalding and surrounding areas.

Are you a Design Engineer with both mechanical and electrical design experience looking to work on cutting-edge electrification projects within a highly innovative engineering environment?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist advanced development team responsible for transforming traditional diesel-powered machines into next-generation electrified demonstrator platforms. Working within small, agile engineering teams, you'll have the opportunity to take projects from concept through design, integration, prototype build and validation.

You'll be involved in the development of low-volume prototype and demonstrator machines, working closely with design, build and validation teams to deliver practical engineering solutions at pace. This is a highly visible role offering significant ownership and the opportunity to see your designs rapidly become real-world machines.

The Role:

• Support concept and detailed design activities for electrified machine systems
• Develop engineering models, drawings and technical documentation using Creo
• Support machine integration, prototype build and validation activities
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve technical challenges

The Person:

• Mechanical design experience within a product development environment
• Electrical design and integration experience
• Proficient using Creo to produce models and engineering drawings
• Background within automotive, off-highway, heavy equipment or industrial machinery sectors

Desirable:

• Electrification or EV project experience
• Prototype or demonstrator machine development
• Validation and testing exposure
• Cross-functional product development experience
