An opportunity is available for a Technician based at our Derby depot.
You will be accountable to the Team Manager for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the underground and overhead network up to 33kV. Additionally, you will be responsible for programming and monitoring immediate work colleagues, switching up to 33kV, issuing appropriate safety documentation, and performing other tasks relevant to the Technician role.
You should be able to work independently as part of a small team, make on-the-spot decisions, and possess good communication skills, a flexible attitude, and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You will also be required to train as an SAP and be mobile throughout the area to undertake standby duties as part of the formal rota.
If not already attained, the successful candidate will need to undertake a Level 3 City & Guilds 2339 qualification.
