Job summary

WES is seeking a fully qualified Electrician to join our team on a permanent basis to deliver electrical installation and maintenance across water industry projects. The role includes wiring, testing, and commissioning of dosing plant, control panels, pumps, and field instrumentation, with travel and away-from-home duties supported with accommodation.

Applicants must hold AM2 Gold Card and 2391 Testing and Inspection cert, and have knowledge of BS 7671 and relevant electrical standards.

Qualifications

Fully qualified electrician with skill in the installation and repair of electrical equipment and components.
AM2 (Gold Card) - mandatory.
2391 Testing and Inspection certificate - mandatory.
Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Install, gland, terminate cable systems in industrial settings to BS 7671 and supplied drawings.
Install electrical equipment to BS 7671 and manufacturers’ instructions.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure safety and compliance.
Diagnose faulty systems and locate causes of breakdowns using test equipment.
Inspect electrical systems for hazards and defects and ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on hazardous operation risks.
