Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Installation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical installation work in various commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Possess sound electrical knowledge, including surge protection installation methods.
2. Have extensive knowledge of single and three-phase installations.
3. Carry out electrical installations on various types of LV systems.
4. Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for tasks.
5. Liaise with the Operations Supervisor regarding maintenance programs and reporting procedures.
6. Work according to recognized industry standards at all times.
7. Maintain records of all work and complete necessary paperwork within specified timescales.
8. Participate in flexible working hours, which may include staying away from home, weekend work, and travel.
9. Undertake training, including health and safety courses and trade development, to maintain current knowledge and qualifications (CPD).
10. Act on own initiative when required.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.
2. City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
3. 18th Edition certification.
4. In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other standards.
5. Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and reporting software.
8. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
9. Attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
11. Valid UK driving license (or equivalent).
