Job summary

Aureos Capital is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team based in Peterborough. You will deliver electrical installation, maintenance, and testing across commercial and industrial projects, supporting operations at MOD sites across Eastern England.

You will work within a small team, ensuring high safety, quality, and compliance with BS7671 and 18th edition. The ideal candidate holds 18th Edition, C&G2391, and an ECS card, with strong communication skills and the ability to mentor

Qualifications

• Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18).
• C&G 2391 – desirable.
• ECS Card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong safety and quality focus.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and testing in line with BS7671 and Aureos policies and procedures.
• Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and ensure all works are completed to the highest standard.
• Commission and test electrical systems and issue relevant certification.
• Fault-find and carry out remedial works.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers where required.
• Support and mentor apprentices or trainees as part of your daily role.
• LV electrical EICR
• Emergency light testing
• PAT testing
• Working at Height
• Managing sub-contractors to complete their specialist tasks, and various small electrical install projects.
