Job summary

Aureos in Portsmouth is seeking an Electrician to join our team on a national MOD contract. You'll deliver electrical installation, maintenance and testing across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The role requires up-to-date 18th Edition training, I&T C&G2391 (desirable) and the ability to obtain MoD SC clearance. You will work independently or with a small team, supporting apprentices and liaising with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
• AM2 qualification is desirable.
• City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection, Testing and Certification) desirable.
• ECS Card held.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Able to work independently or within a team; good communication.
• Proficient in Office 365 for worksheets and certificates.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and testing in line with BS7671.
• Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and ensure high standard.
• Commission and test electrical systems and issue relevant certification.
• Fault-find and carry out remedial works.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as required.
• Support and mentor apprentices or trainees as part of daily role.
• LV electrical EICR
• Emergency light testing
• PAT testing
• Working at Height
• Managing sub-contractors to complete their specialist tasks and various small electrical installs.
