Job summary

Aureos Group in Plymouth is seeking an Electrician to join our team and support commercial and industrial electrical works across a national MOD contract. You will install, maintain, and test systems, ensuring safe, compliant outcomes on diverse sites.

The role requires 18th Edition (2382-18) and testing qualifications, a proactive safety mindset, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Generous benefits accompany a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection, Testing and Certification) - desirable

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and testing in line with BS7671 and Aureos policies and procedures.
• Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and ensure all works are completed to the highest standard.
• Commission and test electrical systems and issue relevant certification.
• Fault-find and carry out remedial works.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers where required.
• Support and mentor apprentices or trainees as part of your daily role.
• LV electrical EICR
• Emergency light testing
• PAT testing
• Working at Height
• Managing sub-contractors to complete their specialist tasks, and various small electrical install projects.
