Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Oxford team on a permanent basis. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, and involves maintenance across building services M&E, with duties including PPM, fault finding, and on-call coverage.

You should hold Electrical C&G (or equivalent), BS7671 18th Edition, and AM2, with post-qualification experience. DBS check required; comprehensive benefits package provided.

Qualifications

• Electrical C&G or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• BS7671 18th Edition is required.
• Part 1+2 Electrical Installation qualification.
• AM2 demonstrated or equivalent.
• Electrical systems experience in buildings services M&E.
• Post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) as per maintenance spec and log in real time using PDA.
• Maintain electrical distribution, generator testing, AHUs, pumps.
• Perform weekly fire alarm tests and monthly emergency lighting checks; HVAC issues.
• Complete paperwork for PPM and reactive/breakdown works; update CAFM with work details.
• Record start/wait/stop times in CAFM; describe works and follow-on tasks.
• Identify plant failures and raise quotations; escalate to line manager.
• Participate in on-call rota.
