Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an Electrician / Electrical Installations Trainer to move from site work into education at a recognized college near Oxford. The role offers full teacher training and ongoing professional development while delivering practical and classroom-based electrical installations training.

The position is site-based and commutable from Oxford and surrounding towns. You’ll join a college that supports transition into teaching with ongoing development and long-term

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Strong industry experience in Electrical Installation, Building Services or related sector.
• Knowledge or experience of Fire Alarm and/or Electronic Security Systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based teaching across Electrical Installation and/or Fire & Security programmes.
• Teach apprentices and adult learners within workshop and simulated environments.
• Carry out learner assessments, progress reviews and provide ongoing mentoring.

Site based, commutable from Oxford, Abingdon, Bicester, Didcot, Witney, Banbury, Aylesbury, High Wycombe and surrounding areas.

Are you an experienced Electrician, Electrical Installation Engineer or Fire & Security Engineer with a relevant NVQ 3 qualification looking to step off the tools and make a real difference by inspiring the next generation of industry professionals?

Based within a modern Construction Skills Centre, you'll play a key role in delivering industry-leading apprenticeship training across Electrical Installations.

In this role, you'll deliver engaging practical and classroom-based teaching to apprentices and adult learners, supporting them to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours required to succeed within the electrical and fire/security industries.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), have strong industry experience. Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential, as full teacher training can be provided.
