Job description

Electrician/Electrical Maintenance Technician

A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen within our Facilities Maintenance Department. Working: Monday to Friday 7:30am –4:00pm.

Primary Purpose of Position

• To install new electrical infrastructure within Glenair, as well as conduct initial and periodic electrical inspection and testing.
• To repair and maintain electrical infrastructure in Glenair buildings.
• To maintain a flexible approach to duties and responsibilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To carry out inspections and maintenance on electrical installations as required in accordance with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) databases.
• To carry out electrical repairs/installations as required to your degree of competency.
• To conduct initial and periodic electrical inspection and testing in Glenair buildings to your degree of competency.
• Report any potential electrical problems, concerns, or areas of risk relating to health and safety; in respect of yourself and others to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
• Produce stastistical data/reports as requested by the Facilities Maintenance Manager relating to electrical issues.

Job Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of general electrical maintenance systems and test equipment is essential
• Good Commercial & Industrial installationexperience with most electrical containment & wiring systems, including data / networking is essential.
• It is essential to have the qualification City & Guilds 2382, 18th edition – level 3 Wiring Regulations BS7671
• It is essential to have the qualification City & Guilds 2365, Electrotechnical Craft – Level 2 & 3 Diploma or equivalent
• It is essential to have the qualification City & Guilds 2391, Inspection & Testing – level 3
• It is essential to have the qualification NET services AM2 qualification
• IPAF license is desirable
• Full driving licence is essential
