Job description

Senior Salmon is looking for a maintenance engineer for our company based in Buxton, working regular days Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, duties include but are not limited to:

1. Electrical service maintenance and breakdown cover for site plant and machinery.
2. Attending to unplanned breakdowns and repairs as they occur.
3. Participating in regular team meetings.
4. Producing reports on machine and equipment based on work activities carried out.
5. Promoting a continuous improvement culture within the department.
6. Carrying out any other activities as required by the business.
7. Developing and implementing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), including the use of CMMS.
8. Fault finding and repairing power tools.
9. Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), which is desired but not essential.

Experience and knowledge required:

1. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
3. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
4. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a factory processing-based industry.
5. 18th edition electrical qualification.
6. Good understanding of maintenance process activities.
7. Safety-conscious with relevant health and safety training, including Working at Heights.
