Job summary

Fraser Edwards are seeking an electrician to join their MOD contract in Wyton, undertaking electrical repairs, rewires, EICRs and on-call duties across domestic and commercial properties.

Role includes a four-weekly on-call rota (standby fee; callouts paid at 1.5x). Basic salary £41,500, with callout OTE £2,500–£3,000 and additional overtime options. Company van, fuel card and pension provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or City & Guilds equivalent.
• 18th edition standard knowledge is required.
• 2391 or 2394/2395 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations and maintenance across domestic and commercial properties.
• Complete planned works including rewires, consumer units, smoke alarms, fans and showers.
• Respond to reactive repairs, fault-find and perform safe, efficient repairs.
• Carry out inspections, testing and EICRs per BS7671 regulations.
• Update job details, certification, materials and time using PDA.

Job description

Fraser Edwards are currently working with a construction contractor that have been trading for over 50 years in the construction sector providing complete building and maintenance services to private and public clients nationwide.

Due to an expansion and taking on more work they are looking for their next electrician to join the team and really make a difference within the company.

All works will be undertaken in Wyton and local surrounding areas.

The Job:

This role will be on their MOD Contract that our client has going into void and tenanted properties undertaking the following key duties:

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations and maintenance across domestic and commercial properties.
• Complete planned works including rewires, consumer units, smoke alarms, fans, shower circuits and remedials.
• Respond to reactive repairs, fault-find and complete safe, efficient repairs wherever possible.
• Carry out inspections, testing and EICRs, ensuring compliance with current BS7671 regulations.
• Accurately update job details, certification, materials and time using PDA/mobile systems.
• Liaise with customers, colleagues and supervisors to ensure works are completed professionally and safely.
• Complete risk assessments and follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
• Logging works via PDA
• Liaising with customers, clients, and staff

This role will include a call out rota, which is 1 in every 4 weeks.

• you will receive a standby fee, paid per day
• All call outs paid at x1.5 hourly rate door to door
• No more than 4 - 6 call outs which normally occur before 10pm and after 6am
