Randstad NV is seeking a Maintenance Electrician (Domestic) in Southampton to service local residential properties. You will perform repairs, testing and refurbishments, ensuring homes stay safe and fully operational with a sharp fault-finding mindset.

The role involves on-site work, EICRs, PAT tests, and adherence to BS 7671 (Part P). You will log tasks via mobile devices and handle van stock while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• C&G 2330 and C&G 2382 are required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Proven domestic fault-finding, repairs and customer-facing experience.
• Willingness to join Emergency Out-of-Hours on-call rota.

Maintenance Electrician (Domestic) - Southampton

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a secure, steady role with an in-house team? We are looking for a reliable professional to deliver high-quality electrical repairs, testing, and refurbishments across local residential properties. Responsibilities

• Repairs & Fault Finding:Troubleshoot single- and three-phase systems, replace electric showers, and swap immersion elements.
• Testing & Certification:Carry out EICRs, PAT testing, and issue Electrical Installation / Minor Works certificates.
• Safety & Compliance:Work strictly to current BS 7671 (Part P) regulations and report urgent H&S defects directly to the Qualifying Supervisor.
• Job Management:Log jobs digitally via mobile/PDA and manage van stock accurately.

Qualifications

• Certification:C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and C&G 2382 (18th Edition).
• Licence:Full UK Driver's Licence.
• Experience:Proven track record in domestic fault-finding, repairs, and customer-facing service.
• On-Call:Willingness to participate in an Emergency Out-of-Hours rota.
• Tech Skills:Comfortable using smartphone/PDA applications for daily workflows.
• Desirable:C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing certification.
• Safety Note:Candidates must pass Face-Fit testing for safety masks, which requires being clean-shaven (exemptions apply for medical/religious reasons).
