Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting an Electrician to undertake planned, reactive, corrective, and emergency electrical maintenance across the ExxonMobil Fawley refinery site.

You will perform installation, refurbishment and commissioning of electrical services, control panels, and LV switchgear, while complying with safety standards. The role includes on-call duties with additional weekly pay and a requirement to work within a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 18th Edition is required.
• Recognised Apprenticeship.
• Experience in building maintenance and minor works is required.
• HVAC equipment and controls experience is desirable.
• Experience with LV motor controls and control panels is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Teamwork and self-motivation are essential.
• Flexible in work scheduling.
• Customer service skills are important.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Using computers/iPads for electronic work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, refurbishment and installation works of electrical services.
• Knowledge of 3 phase motor control and instrumentation systems.
• Carry out inspection and testing procedures and certify works.
• Complete reactive and planned service works via helpdesk within timeframes.
• Provide detailed reports with hours and materials for valuation.
• Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works via helpdesk.
• Knowledge of multi-disciplined trades in distribution systems and HVAC (desirable).
• Monitor contractors and workmanship to meet standards.
• Ensure equipment operates to performance criteria.
• Maintain administration and records on time.
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company policy.

Undertakeplanned, reactive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks across theExxonMobil Fawley refinery site.

What You’ll Do

• Undertakemaintenance, refurbishment & installation works of all aspects ofelectrical services, including emergency lighting, electrical LV switchgear,distribution boards, mains and sub- mains cabling, containment, lighting, andother electrical equipment.
• Have a goodknowledge of 3 phase motor control and instrumentation systems.
• To have knowledgeof inspection and testing procedures and certify works upon completion inaccordance with relevant certification.
• To undertakereactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set timeframes ensuring client expectations are met.
• Provide detailedreports upon completion of works including breakdown processes, hours andmaterials of works to allow for accurate valuation of works.
• To undertake PPM,proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time framesso that the customer expectations are met.
• To have knowledgeof multi-disciplined trades in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanicalventilation, HVAC, chillers, plumbing/CWST systems and LTHW heating services(desired)
• To undertakecontractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring ofcontractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• To ensure thatequipment operates to specified performance criteria.
• To ensureequipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
• To provide aprofessional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customersatisfaction.
• To evaluateperformance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment undercontract to the company is carried out.
• To take apro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt withor relayed to management as necessary.
• To be alwaysfully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs.
• To ensure thatadministration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents /records are maintained accurately.
• Always Working ina safe manner, complying with current Health & Safety legislation andCompany H&S policy.
• Follow on callRota – Monday to Sunday which comes with an additional payment per week oncall.
