Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a skilled Electrician to perform planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance at the ExxonMobil Fawley refinery site. You will handle LV switchgear, cabling, lighting and motor controls, ensure safety compliance, and deliver detailed job reports.

Required qualifications include NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds 2391 with 18th Edition, plus an apprenticeship. Driving licence and teamwork mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 18th Edition is required
• Recognised Apprenticeship is expected
• Experience in building maintenance/minor works is required
• HVAC equipment/controls experience is desirable
• LV motor controls and control panels experience is desirable
• Full clean driving licence is required
• Team player with good customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, refurbishment & installation tasks for electrical services including emergency lighting and LV switchgear
• Work with 3-phase motor control and instrumentation systems
• Carry out inspection, testing and certification of works
• Respond to helpdesk tasks within set timeframes
• Provide detailed reports of works, hours and materials
• Engage in PPM, proactive and reactive tasks as needed
• Coordinate with contractors to meet standards and client expectations
• Ensure equipment meets performance criteria and safety standards
• Maintain administration and documentation on time
• Follow Health & Safety policies and on-call rota with extra pay

Undertake planned, reactive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks across the ExxonMobil Fawley refinery site.

What You’ll Do

• Undertake maintenance, refurbishment & installation works of all aspects of electrical services, including emergency lighting, electrical LV switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub‑mains cabling, containment, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
• Have a good knowledge of 3‑phase motor control and instrumentation systems.
• Have knowledge of inspection and testing procedures and certify works upon completion in accordance with relevant certification.
• Undertake reactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames ensuring client expectations are met.
• Provide detailed reports upon completion of works including breakdown processes, hours and materials of works to allow for accurate valuation of works.
• Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
• Have knowledge of multi‑disciplined trades in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanical ventilation, HVAC, chillers, plumbing/CWST systems and LTHW heating services (desired).
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
• Provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
• Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• Take a pro‑active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
• Be always fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs.
• Ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records are maintained accurately.
• Always working in a safe manner, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Company H&S policy.
• Follow on‑call rota – Monday to Sunday which comes with an additional payment per week on call.

• Approved Electrician NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 18th Edition (required)
• Recognised Apprenticeship
• Previous experience working within building maintenance and minor works environment (required)
• Previous experience working with HVAC equipment and controls (desired)
• Previous experience with working with LV motor controls and associated control panels (desired)
• Full clean driving licence
