Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking an Advanced Electrician to join the Barnsley, Wakefield & Rotherham team, delivering responsive repairs to housing stock. This is a permanent role, 40 hours per week, with shifts 8am–7pm Monday to Friday plus Saturday morning on a rota.

The role includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota with additional payment. Essential qualifications include IET EAS recognised core technical competence (C&G 2365 or equivalent), 18th Edition, and IET EAS 2391-52

Qualifications

• Certificated Electrician qualifications with domestic and commercial electrical works experience.
• Experience in fixed wire testing and electrical installations up to 230v/415v.
• Ability to complete relevant certifications, follow procedures and accurately record data.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret technical data and instructions.
• Experience in customer-focused environments with targets.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights per health and safety guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive electrical repairs across the Barnsley, Wakefield & Rotherham area.
• Work 40 hours per week with shifts 8:00–19:00 Monday–Friday plus Saturday morning on a rota.
• Participate in an out-of-hours callout rota with additional payment.

About The Role

We are looking for an Advanced Electrician to join our Barnsley, Wakefield & Rotherham team, delivering responsive repairs. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am – 7pm Monday – Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• Certificated Electrician qualifications and demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.
• Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v.
• Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
• Ability to accurately interpret technical data & drawings and instructions.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety Practices.
