Job summary

Build Recruitment is looking for an experienced Electrician to join a team working across social housing properties in Long Bennington and surrounding areas.

Role involves electrical repairs and maintenance, plus supporting renewable energy improvements such as air source heat pumps and solar PV, to help provide more energy-efficient homes for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrician in social housing or similar settings.
• Ability to carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installations.
• Knowledge of renewable energy improvements, including solar PV and air source heat pumps.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installation work across social housing properties.
• Work in a multi-skilled environment and undertake other trade-related works where competent.
• Attend scheduled repairs and maintenance on time within targets.
• Diagnose faults and identify remedial works required.
• Arrange follow-on works, appointments and materials as needed.
• Ensure waste and debris are removed after works.
• Support the wider team in achieving KPIs and service standards.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency repairs rota when required.
• Provide guidance to trainees and apprentices.
• Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.

Social Housing Electrician

Location: Long Bennington, covering surrounding areas
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

We re looking for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established team working across social housing properties in and around Long Bennington and the surrounding areas.

The role will involve electrical repairs and maintenance, alongside supporting renewable energy improvements including air source heat pumps and solar PV, helping to provide more energy-efficient homes for residents.

The Role

As a Social Housing Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance and installation work across social housing properties.

• Working in a multi-skilled environment and undertaking other trade-related works where you are suitably competent.

• Attending scheduled repairs and maintenance appointments on time and completing works within agreed targets.

• Diagnosing faults and identifying any remedial works required.

• Arranging follow-on works, appointments and materials where necessary.

• Ensuring waste and debris are removed following completion of works.

• Supporting the wider team in achieving operational KPIs and service standards.

• Participating in an out-of-hours emergency repairs and maintenance rota when required.

• Providing support and guidance to trainees, apprentices and other team members where appropriate.

• Working safely and professionally while maintaining high standards of customer service.
