Title: Electrician (Maintenance/Installation)

Contract: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week

Location: South London and surrounding area

Persona: Mobile (Van & Fuel Card for work use only)

Salary: £42,478.00 - £45,385 per annum (Based on qualifications & experience)

L&Q is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our in-house maintenance team covering South and South East London. Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance within properties, including CCU upgrades, fault finding, accessory changes, and electrical testing.
• Ensure homes are safe, compliant, and habitable with high-quality work and outstanding customer service.
• Meet financial and customer targets, complete jobs on time and within budget, and contribute to team KPIs.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in building or housing environments, especially within social housing or local authorities.
• Proficient in electrical inspection & testing, fault finding, and repairs with a focus on first-time fixes.
• Ability to self-manage, work under time constraints, and deliver excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards with resident safety as a priority.
• Willing to provide 'Out of Hours' cover on rotation, paid accordingly.
• Occasional travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Core technical competence in electrical works (EAS- Table 4C).
• NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Apprenticeship or equivalent, or relevant technical/craft qualifications, or experienced worker qualification with ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
• Wiring Regulations (EAS- Table 4D).
• Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018).
• Source documentation for qualifications: EAS Qualifications Guide.
• Valid UK manual driving license.

Desirable Skills

• Inspection & Testing certification (Level 3 Award or equivalent).
• Plumbing, carpentry, or general building skills.
• Use of PDA and basic computer skills.
