Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting for an Electrician to undertake testing and inspections on occupied social housing across Bedford and surrounding areas. This long-term contract role offers steady weekly pay and a reliable workflow with ongoing local work.

You will typically complete around three tests per day, identify faults, carry out remedial works, and produce accurate certification and reports while working safely in tenants' homes.

Qualifications

• 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification is required.
• Gold Card or NVQ Level 3 with 18th Edition is required.
• Experience in social housing or similar environments is preferred.
• Proven testing and inspection experience.
• Own van and tools are essential.

Job description

Take on a long-term contract role with weekly pay and consistent local work as an Electrician, carrying out testing, inspections and remedial works within occupied social housing properties across Bedford. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a steady flow of work and the opportunity to increase your earnings through additional repairs.

You'll be working in tenanted domestic properties, completing around three tests per day while carrying out any associated remedial work where required. If you're looking for a reliable contract with ongoing work, this could be the perfect next step.

As an Electrician, you will be:

• Completing around three tests per day

• Working safely and professionally within tenants' homes

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

• 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification
• A Gold Card, or an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) alongside the 18th Edition
• Previous experience working within social housing
• Proven testing and inspection experience
• Their own van and tools

This Electrician role is based in and around Bedford, covering occupied domestic social housing properties. The area is easily accessible via the A6, A421 and A428, offering straightforward travel between jobs. You'll need to provide your own van and tools for this contract.
