Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an Electrician to join a long-term contract delivering electrical works across occupied social housing in North and East Birmingham. You will complete EICRs, install electric showers and handle testing, working in a two-person team or solo with travel across the area.

Ideal candidates have an ECS Gold Card, the 2391 qualification, proven EICR experience, and a practical, independent approach with own transport to cover the B19 area and surroundings.

Qualifications

• ECS Gold Card required.
• 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Proven experience completing EICRs and electrical testing.
• Experience installing electric showers and bathroom electrical works.
• Own vehicle and ability to travel across the B19 and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
• Install electric showers within domestic bathrooms.
• Run and terminate 10mm cabling for shower installations.
• Carry out all associated electrical testing and inspections.
• Work across North and East Birmingham, attending site daily between approximately 7:30am and 4:30pm.
• Work independently or as part of a two-person team.

Job description

Take on a long-term contract role with consistent work and weekly pay as an Electrician, supporting a busy bathroom refurbishment programme across North and East Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering essential electrical works within occupied social housing properties.

You’ll be working as part of a small two-person team, completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), installing electric showers, and carrying out associated testing. If you’re looking for ongoing contract work with a steady workload, this could be the perfect opportunity.

I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as an Electrician, Electrical Tester, Approved Electrician or Inspection & Testing Electrician within social housing or similar environments.

As an Electrician, you will be:

• Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
• Installing electric showers within domestic bathrooms
• Running and terminating 10mm cabling for shower installations
• Carrying out all associated electrical testing and inspections

This Electrician role covers North and East Birmingham, with work taking place across occupied social housing properties. The area offers excellent transport links via the M6, A38 and A34, making travel between sites straightforward. Applicants will need their own vehicle to travel between jobs.
