Job summary

Moxie People recruit for a permanent Electrician role in the Southampton/Eastleigh and surrounding Hampshire area. The position offers a 40-hour week, a strong work‑life balance, and a clear career path within a social housing provider’s Voids Repairs Team.

You’ll work in unoccupied homes preparing them for new tenants, carrying out electrical repairs, fault finding, testing, and minor installations. A company van is provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• AM2 or AM2E qualification.
• Testing & Inspection qualification required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Electrical repairs and maintenance in unoccupied social housing properties.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and fixing faults.
• Testing and inspection (EICRs) in vacant homes.
• Minor installations and upgrades as required.
• Fan installation and repairs; manage workload via PDA.

What you'll be doing

You'll be working in unoccupied homes getting them ready for new tenants

The work includes:

• Electrical repairs and maintenance
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Testing and inspection (EICRs)
• Minor installations and upgrades
• fan install/fan repairs
• Managing jobs through a PDA/smartphone
