Job summary

Bromford is seeking an Electrician to join its team for a stable, well‑organised role focused on quality electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations. The position offers a strong work‑life balance, a company van and tools, and excellent on‑call pay.

You’ll perform planned maintenance across domestic and commercial properties, handle fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and ensure compliance through testing and inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served.
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency with IT systems (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs and installations across domestic and commercial properties.
• Maintaining and fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems including boiler controls, pumps, lights, hot water and HVAC units.
• Completing rewiring, testing and inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Diagnosing issues quickly and delivering high‑quality, efficient repairs.
• Managing materials, recording work, and working safely in line with regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring homes are safe and fit for purpose.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Completing rewiring, testing, and inspections to ensure systems are safe and compliant
• Diagnosing issues quickly and delivering high‑quality, efficient repairs
• Managing materials, recording work accurately, and working safely in line with regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring homes are safe and fit for purpose

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential
• Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
• Proficiency with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Commitment to Bromford’s values and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation
• Full, clean driving licence
• Proactive, flexible attitude to work and travel
• A Basic DBS Check (arranged by BFL)
