Job summary

Gilmartins, a family-owned business, is seeking an experienced Domestic Electrician qualified to work on social housing repairs across Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and Sutton.

You will hold a 2365 Level 3 Diploma or equivalent, be familiar with BS7671:2018 (18th edition) and ideally have a DBS certificate and ECS card. A full manual driving licence and own tools are essential; hours are 8am–5pm, with occasional call-outs.

Qualifications

• Full manual driving license – not automatic
• Own tools
• Fully qualified and able to provide copies of certificates
• Experience of working in social housing
• DBS certificate
• ECS card - ideally

Responsibilities

• Carry out property repairs and maintenance works – social housing

• 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification (ideally)

Gilmartins work in social housing and provide reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations. The ideal person will have worked in social housing previously.

The job requires work and travel across Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and Sutton.

Properties for this well-known Housing Association are situated across all of these areas so there will be regular travel as a requirement of the job.

Hours of work are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with call-outs as required once every 4 weeks. On call from Monday to Sunday, 5pm to 1am (£35-£50 per call out)
