Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a licensed electrician to work in our Technical Services mobile team on a Major Retail contract. The role features a Monday–Friday 08:00–16:30 schedule, with on-site duties across FM, hard services, and related contracts.

You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance, and support contractor oversight. To apply, you should hold an electrical apprenticeship with Level 3 qualifications, 18th Edition, AM2, and CSCS or an equivalent card.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with City & Guilds 2350/NVQ or equivalent.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering plus AM2.
• Current wiring regulations qualification (18th Edition) with valid CSCS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, proactive and reactive works within set time frames.
• Monitor contractors and workmanship to ensure standards.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding area meet company standards.
• Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing and maintenance.
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety legislation.
• Contribute to overall contract efficiency and profitability.
• Support integrated delivery of contracted services within time, budget and quality.
• Provide callout response to the client on a 1 in 4 rota.

About The Role:

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30

Working in our Technical Services mobile team on a Major Retail contract with opportunities to support other Commercial and Residential contracts in our continually expanding division

Key Responsibilities:

• To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
• To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation
• The successful candidate must provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• The candidate will support with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota, on average 1 in 4 weeks.

Hiring Criteria:

• Previous experience working within Facilities Management would be ideal
• Full clean driving licence
• Able to carry out basic IT tasks on handheld devices.

Essential Qualifications:

• A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ
• Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
• The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition)Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.
  

Desirable Qualifications:

• An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
