Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Technical Services electrician to join the mobile team on a Major Retail contract. You will undertake PPM, reactive works and contractor oversight to meet client expectations and maintain high standards across sites.

Role requires driving licence, safety focus and ability to use handheld IT devices. Training and career progression opportunities are available in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence is required.
• Ability to carry out basic IT tasks on handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned preventive maintenance (PPM), proactive and reactive works within set timeframes.
• Monitor and manage contractors to ensure workmanship and standards.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to company standards.
• Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing of equipment.
• Work safely and in compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Contribute to efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability.
• Support integrated delivery of all contracted services within time, budget and quality.
• Provide callout response as per rota (average 1 in 4 weeks).

About the Role

Working in our Technical Services mobile team on a Major Retail contract with opportunities to support other Commercial and Residential contracts in our continually expanding division.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM), proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that customer expectations are met.
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship to ensure standards are met.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to agreed company standards.
• Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company.
• Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with current health and safety legislation.
• Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and participate in the delivery of service.
• Support the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota, on average 1 in 4 weeks.

Hiring Criteria

• Previous experience working within facilities management is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Able to carry out basic IT tasks on handheld devices.

Essential Qualifications

• A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds 2350 NVQ).
• Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2.
• Current wiring regulations qualification such as City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition) and a valid and in-date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

• Inspection & Testing qualification such as City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
