Job summary

Thrive SW in Bristol is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a mobile role covering commercial properties in the region. The position is Bristol-based with travel to sites as required, offering £40-42k for a 40-hour week plus overtime and on-call duties.

You will perform planned preventative maintenance, testing, and fault finding on electrical systems, with opportunities to update qualifications such as EICR.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3.
• 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations.
• Experience in commercial environments.
• Testing and inspection advantageous – higher wage.
• HVAC knowledge advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance to electrical systems on site.
• Complete statutory tests such as emergency light and fire alarm testing, water temp and legionella checks.
• Testing and inspection of electrical works – fixed wire and EICR if qualified; company can upskill if not.
• Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and associated paperwork.
• Be on a call-out rota for out-of-hours cover.
• Oversee visiting sub-contractors and health & safety standards.
• Maintain documentation accurately and on time.
• Carry out all duties in line with company policies and procedures.

Maintenance Electrician – Bristol Based£40‑42k for 40 hours per week + Travel, Call out and Overtime. Are you a Maintenance Electrician looking for a new mobile role based around Bristol?

This regional FM company has recently won a new contract within the commercial sector. They are looking for a number of experienced, electrically biased mobile maintenance engineers to cover commercial properties in and around Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join an established team working on a portfolio of properties across the region. You will be responsible for all aspects of electrical works on a planned and reactive basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance to electrical systems on site
• Complete statutory compliance tests such as emergency light and fire alarm testing, water temperature and legionella testing
• Testing and inspection of electrical works – fixed wire and EICRS if qualified with 2391; the company is happy to put you through this if not already qualified, with a pay rise once qualified
• Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork
• Be on a call‑out rota to provide the client with full out‑of‑hours cover
• Oversee visiting sub‑contractors with regard to the standard of work and health and safety
• Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio
• Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Understand and complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time
• Carry out work safely and diligently
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
