Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Works Manager (Electrical) to lead electrical construction on a major nuclear infrastructure programme in Cumbria. You will oversee multiple work fronts, manage delivery teams and subcontractors, and coordinate with engineering, commissioning, quality, and client stakeholders to meet programme objectives.

The role requires leadership of safety, quality, and delivery performance, with focus on RAMS, work packs, and construction

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical construction works on major infrastructure projects.
• Leadership experience as Works Manager or Senior Supervisor.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of RAMS, work packs, and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, commissioning, and project delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical construction activities across allocated projects.
• Manage and provide direction to Senior Site Supervisors, Supervisors, Chargehands, direct labour, and subcontractors.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor labour, plant, materials, equipment, and subcontract resources.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project requirements, programme commitments, budgets, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate construction activities with engineering, commissioning, quality, commercial, and client teams.
• Lead safety briefings, inspections, and behavioural safety initiatives to promote a positive safety culture.
• Develop and mentor supervisors, apprentices, and future leaders within the team.
