Job summary

Alliance Learning is expanding its electrical provision and is seeking an experienced, qualified electrician who wants to pass on their trade to the next generation. You will plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions covering BS 7671, safe isolation, installation methods, inspection, testing, commissioning and fault-finding.

You will prepare apprentices for the mandatory Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification and the AM2S, conduct progress reviews, assess evidence, and embed

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent time-served qualification.
• AM2/AM2S assessment pass is required.
• BS 7671 Wiring Regulations – 18th Edition (latest amendment) is required.
• Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g. C&G 2391/2394/2395) is required.
• ECS Gold Card (Installation or Maintenance Electrician) or eligibility required.
• Substantial, recent industry experience as an installation/maintenance electrician, with up-to-date knowledge of current practice (e.g. EV charging, solar PV).

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers, setting clear, stretching targets
• Assess and record evidence accurately, ensuring off-the-job training and progress are tracked
• Embed English, maths, safeguarding, Prevent and British values into delivery
• Support apprentices' wellbeing, behaviours and readiness for industry

Education
