Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Training Officer to manage a caseload of electrical apprentices across London and the South East. The role offers full training, travel within the region and a 35-hour work week.

You will assess learner progress, support employers and prepare candidates for gateway, end-point assessments and AM2. Home-based with regional travel, normal hours apply.

Qualifications

• Requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Must hold 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• AM2 qualification or ECS Gold Card.
• 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification is beneficial.
• Teaching or assessing experience is advantageous but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of electrical apprentices across London and the South East.
• Conduct workplace visits and progression reviews.

Do you have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or a recognised electrical apprenticeship, alongside your 18th Edition qualification?

In this position, you'll manage a caseload of electrical apprentices across London and the South East, carrying out workplace visits, conducting progress reviews and assessing learners' knowledge, skills and behaviours. You will work closely with apprentices and employers to ensure learners stay on track, overcome challenges and successfully achieve their qualifications, including preparing for end-point assessments and AM2.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised apprenticeship, 18th Edition and an AM2 qualification or ECS Gold Card. A 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification would be highly beneficial. Previous experience in teaching or assessment would also be advantageous, but full training and development will be provided.

The Person

• Experienced Electrician looking to move off the tools into education and training.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• AM2 qualification or ECS Gold Card.
• 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification would be highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• Previous teaching or assessing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
