Job summary

Mitie in Central London is seeking an Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer to deliver EICRs and Fixed Wire testing across client sites. The role involves working 42 hours per week on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, predominantly nights, to uphold electrical safety, compliance and operational excellence in complex commercial environments.

You will hold Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations and BS 7671 knowledge, produce clear reports and hold a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards and testing procedures.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate reports.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DV security clearance.
• UK passport holder.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial electrical installations
• Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671
• Identify faults, deviations, and non‑compliances within electrical systems
• Correctly code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications while maintaining clear and auditable testing records, schedules, and certification
• Work in strict compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company procedures
