Mitie is seeking an Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer in Central London to deliver EICRs and Fixed Wire Testing across client sites. The role emphasizes electrical safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in diverse commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities include running EICR inspections, performing Fixed Wire tests, diagnosing faults, and producing clear testing reports, with a 42-hour week and a 4 on/4 off pattern, predominantly night shifts.

• Perform Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671.
• Identify faults and non-compliances; code observations with C1, C2, C3, FI.
• Produce clear, auditable testing records and certificates.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DV clearance and UK passport with 10-year footprint.

We're looking for an Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer who will deliver Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing across our client sites in Central London.

This role is vital in ensuring electrical safety, compliance, and operational excellence across complex commercial and industrial environments.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial electrical installations
• Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671
• Identify faults, defects, deviations, and non‑compliances within electrical systems
• Correctly codeobservations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications while maintaining clear and auditable testing records, schedules, and certification
• Work in strict compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company procedures

RequiredQualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
• City & Guilds 2391‑52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
• Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards, and testing procedures
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, professional reports
• Full UK driving licence
• Full DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance
