Job summary

Eaton Aerospace’s Wimborne site is seeking an Electrical Test Design Engineer to design and support automated electrical test systems for aerospace products. You’ll own projects end-to-end, solving test hardware and software challenges in a production environment.

With a strong engineering background, you’ll interpret schematics, work with lab equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes, and collaborate across manufacturing, QA and supply chain while prioritising safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree, apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience using electrical lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support automated electrical test systems used throughout the lifecycle of aerospace products.
• Apply electrical engineering knowledge to solve technical problems relating to test equipment, hardware integration and product verification.
• Take ownership of projects and deliver technical solutions from concept through deployment and support.
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, test procedures and validation evidence.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, programme, quality and supply chain teams to ensure successful delivery and customer requirements.
