Job summary

Eaton is seeking a senior engineer for Electrical Test Design to develop, validate and support automated test equipment for aerospace products. You will guide technical work packages, mentor engineers and collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers and customers across Eaton.

This role combines electrical design, software-controlled test systems, lab testing and structured problem-solving in a hands-on, senior capacity.

Qualifications

Engineering or science degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 7 years within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, electrical test, automated test equipment, product development or related technical environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, validate and support automated electrical test equipment and software-controlled test systems.
Own projects and work packages from requirements through deployment and lifecycle support.
Apply aerospace and electrical engineering principles to solve complex problems safely.
Define technical approaches, balancing safety, performance, cost and schedule.
Produce and release engineering documentation for requirements, design, verification and tests.
Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for test equipment and processes.
Mentor less experienced engineers and promote best engineering practices.
Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers and customers to achieve objectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, efficiency and reliability.
