Job summary

Acorn-By-Synergie is seeking an Electrical Technician in Shotton to maintain and improve electrical systems on manufacturing equipment. This on-site role focuses on safety, reliability and continuous improvement within a busy engineering team.

You’ll work on fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance and collaboration with contractors, while coaching operators on electrical safety and basic maintenance practices. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of electrical control systems and PLCs; Siemens experience is advantageous.
• Confidence using IT systems and engineering software.
• Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to health and safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on industrial machinery.
• Support and deliver preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose electrical faults and respond to breakdowns effectively.
• Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers for parts and technical support.
• Mentor production operators in electrical safety and basic maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for productivity, quality and cost improvements.
• Ensure work complies with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to maintain high standards.
