Job description

As an Electrical Technician, you will utilize your skills and experience as an important member of the Electrical workshop team. Acting under the guidance of the Electrical chargehand, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of a wide range of electrical equipment, which may include hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical products.

Responsibilities:
  1. Install, test, and maintain electrical equipment according to safety guidelines and electrical code requirements.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical equipment malfunctions to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  3. Collaborate with the Electrical chargehand and team members to implement effective electrical solutions.
  4. Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs.
  5. Keep records of hazardous area schedules, cable test sheets, etc.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or HNC or higher qualification.
  • City & Guilds accredited training course.
  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, installation, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of wireline winches, masts, and related products.
