Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician for its Peterborough site. You will fabricate, install, and document electrical systems, wiring single- and three-phase circuits, and read technical drawings.

Qualifications

  • City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations (mandatory).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • Desirable: City and Guilds 2391 electrical testing/inspection.

Job Description
Electrical Assembly Technician / Peterborough / £40,000 - £45,000 FTC 12 months

Full training on our products is planned into our Induction. This position is based 100% at our site in Peterborough Service Centre, which is home to a large-scale regeneration facility as well as the base for a fleet of over 100 mobile water treatment units, primarily fixed within trailers and containers.

What you'll be doing:
  • Fabrication, installation, and documentation of electrical systems
  • Working with single-phase, three-phase, low-voltage and extra low voltage electrical circuits
  • Preparation and termination of electrical circuits
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Troubleshooting electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment and presenting technical solutions to address these issues
  • Configuration of instrumentation
  • Testing electrical systems incorporating PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and relays
  • Commissioning of special build equipment, electrically and mechanically
  • Maintaining the quality of all products, performing incoming and outgoing quality control tests, inspections, and repair of all plant and field equipment
  • Electrical inspection and testing (EIC, EICR and PAT)
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
  • City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent (mandatory)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience in industrial electrical works
  • Experience wiring and fault finding PLC controlled equipment
Desirable:
  • City and Guilds 2391 - Electrical testing and inspection
  • Passport to Safety or equivalent
