Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Manchester International Depot

Contract Type: 13-Week Contract (Start Date: 26th May)

Working Hours: Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 50 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: £30 per hour, paid via LTD company and outside IR35.

Ganymede Solutions is working with one of the largest UK Train Operating Companies, seeking to recruit an Electrical Technician for their digital equipment modifications at Manchester International Depot. We are an AIMs listed recruitment agency specializing in transportation, infrastructure, construction, and engineering sectors.

You will work on a multi-million-pound digitalization upgrade project, modifying digital equipment and facilities for their fleet.

The Role

As an Electrical Technician, your responsibilities include:

1. Carrying out electrical installations and testing for digital modifications upgrades.
2. Working on Wi-Fi installations, Ethernet backbone installations, NVR/CCTV, passenger information systems, USB sockets, and driver’s cab upgrades.

This position involves day shifts, Monday to Friday, with a standard 50-hour workweek.

Requirements

• Electrical qualification at minimum C&G/NVQ Level 3
• At least 3 years of rolling stock experience
• Effective communication skills to ensure high standards and timely completion of work
• Proactive attitude supporting team efforts
• Ability to start between 26th May and 2nd June
• Ability to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
• Pass a full railway medical including sight, hearing, colour vision, heart, lungs, and brain assessments
• Provide Right to Work documents before deployment
• Positive mentality and attitude
