Job summary

First Achieve is actively recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing business. You will be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping a world-class facility running at peak performance.

Starting with a three-month training period on a rotating Monday to Friday shift, you will move to a 4 on, 4 off continental shift pattern, with salary increasing to the £46k–£48k range per annum after training.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrician with relevant qualifications.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and electrical installations.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices.
• Good IT and communication skills.
• Willing to work at height and in confined spaces when required.
• Experience with medium-voltage distribution systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain and repair forging presses, furnaces, CNC machinery and plant equipment.
• Support electrical installations, testing and commissioning activities.

Salary: Circa £40,000 - £41,000, rising to £46,000 - £48,000 after 3 months

First Achieve Engineering Recruitment team are assisting in recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping a world-class manufacturing facility running at peak performance.

Following an initial three-month training period on a rotating Monday to Friday shift pattern, you'll transition onto a4 on, 4 off continental shift pattern, increasing your salary to circa £45,000 - £46,000 per annum.

The Role

As part of the maintenance team, you'll carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment, helping to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain and repair forging presses, furnaces, CNC machinery and plant equipment.
• Support electrical installations, testing and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical faults.

What We're Looking For

• Time-served Electrician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and electrical installations.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and electrical regulations.
• Good IT and communication skills.
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces when required.
• Experience with medium-voltage distribution systems is advantageous.
