Job summary

CV Technical Limited is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for its Livingston site. You will maintain and service production equipment, diagnose electrical faults and support breakdown recovery to minimise downtime.

This is a permanent day-shift role with a competitive salary and a manufacturing environment where you can apply fault finding, instrumentation, and electrical drawing interpretation.

Qualifications

• Experience as electrical maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to fault-find and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Familiarity with motors, drives, controls and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across production equipment and plant.
• Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and support downtime reduction.
• Maintain motors, drives, controls and instrumentation.
• Support plant upgrades, modifications and continuous improvement projects.
• Handle electrical installation, testing and inspection.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Livingston

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Shift: Permanent Days - Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business at their site in Livingston.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrically biased engineer looking to move into a permanent day shift position with a successful and established manufacturing operation.

Our client operates within a specialist manufacturing environment and is looking for an experienced engineer who can hit the ground running, taking responsibility for electrical maintenance, fault finding and breakdown support across production machinery and plant.

The Role

As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across production equipment and plant
• Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
• Responding to machinery breakdowns and minimising production downtime
• Maintenance of motors, drives, controls and instrumentation
• Supporting plant upgrades, modifications and continuous improvement projects
• Electrical installation, testing and inspection
• Working safely within hazardous areas where required
• Interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Following safe isolation and permit-to-work procedures
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection records
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain site performance

Package

• £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary
