Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd. in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to build and wire control panels for automated machinery, interpreting schematics and Bills of Materials. You will install PLCs, HMIs, VSDs and related components, ensuring high-quality, compliant workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring electrical control panels using schematics and layout drawings.
• Confident reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, terminal schedules, and GA drawings.
• Strong wiring and cable management skills, including the use of crimped terminals, ferrules, and trunking.
• Knowledge of common electrical components, including relays, contactors, PLCs, MCBs, power supplies, and terminal blocks.
• Competent in using panel-building tools such as wire cutters, crimpers, screwdrivers, and drills.
• High attention to detail, with a focus on accurate labelling, terminations, and panel layouts.
• A team player who can follow instructions, ask questions when needed, and communicate effectively with engineers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

The Role:
